Hi, it's very glad you are watching this clip. I'm Amang, The director of this animation, Sutra of Buddha's Teaching On Amitabha. And the founder of Aputi.com, a team of original animation. ( About Aputi ) (Our Works )

        About this Animation

This animation is expected to be 30 minutes, utilizing 2D and 3D animation techniques.The content will be completely in the light of the  Sutra of Buddha's Teaching On Amitabha, It explains in great detail about the beauty of the Land of Bliss, and the way of being born in the Land.

This animation will tremendously help the deceased to be born in the Land of Bliss. So rarely it was seen in the history, and so profound it has impact in the future.

■ We finished part one (15 minutes ) in October 2011.

■ Now, we start the production of the part two(15 minutes ).We also plan to reproduce part one with high definition (4K UHD 2160P) ,presenting exquisite quality and magnificent pictures.

        What We Need & What You Get

We have been crowdfunding for the animation on Aputi.com for a period of time, and we have reached the target, The exceeding part will be used for improving visual effect and smoother character animation, and movie distribution. In recent years, Due to the impact of disasters all over the world, the completion date cannot be expected for the time being.

The technology standard of this animation reaches the same level of a very fine movie. This will be an epic piece that is hard to find in Buddhist movies.

This animation is free to all and anyone could freely download the high resolution video (4K UHD 2160P). We, and all the beneficial audience, will be grateful for your sponsorship.

We will provide more early development artworks, Storyboard, Keyframe Artwork, Background Arts, and Original sound track, all of these will be download from the Aputi.com.

        How Funds will be used

The fund raised include all expenses to produce Part two, as well as to reproduce part one with high resolution(4K UHD 2160P).

■ If the fund raised is not sufficient, we will crowfund again until the goal is reached.

■ If the fund raised exceeds our goal, the exceeding part will be used for improving visual effect and smoother character animation. Any money beyond that will be used in movie distribution and marketing.

        Director's narratives

My team and I wished to make this film a decade ago. However, we were not able to do it under the circumstance then.

Until year 2005, the actress Xiaoxu Chen, famous for performing Daiyu Lin in A Dream in Red Mansions, found me.

She and a few friends of hers asked me to make an animation of Sutra. When she knew ours wishes matched perfectly, she was thrilled, and said, let us do it now! Let us do Sutra of Buddha's Teaching On Amitabha!  Xiaoxu provided the initial fund, and we started the production of the film together.

In the winter of 2005, I finished most of the draft design and story board. Xiaoxu and I knew each other more during the production, and we built up deep friendship because of the same religion.

All of a sudden, a cancer came to Xiaoxu. She fell ill and got weaker and weaker. When seeing her health going away, I felt helpless and grieved.

In May 2007, we lost Xiaoxu. She once said, she loved the artwork with devoted efforts. No matter how long it would take, We agreed we wanted to see this animation in its best quality. But neither of us, was expecting she left the world in such a haste.

By then, we made 'Sutra of Buddha’s Teaching On Amitabha' theatrical quality.

However, we used up the initial fund, which was barely enough for the preparation work, and was not able to continue. After the death of Xiaoxu Chen, under the funding of the Tibetan pagodas of Nuona in Taiwan, 6-minute sample was finished and work shut down again. We saved all the drafts and suspended the project.

A few years after that, "Life TV" and "Po Sha Shan" entrusted us with several animations, including The Story of Kshitigarbha Bodhisattva’,‘The Story of Bodhisattva Avalokitasvara’, ‘The next life of the Maitreya Bodhisattva’. All could be found in Aputi.com.

Through these years’ film production experience, I built up a better team with solid techniques and a mature process.

But still, in my heart, a promise to Xiaoxu was not completed yet.

Both she and I knew, Sutra of Buddha's Teaching On Amitabha had profound meaning to the deceased in being born in the Land of Bliss and also to the alive in practicing. And the only thing I can do for her is, as promised, to complete this animation with the best quality and benefit all sentient beings.

In 2010, the production of Sutra of Buddha's Teaching On Amitabha was restarted.

We put in all the money and efforts we had, and after many setbacks, finished part one in October 2011.

Now, we start the production of the part two, and are working on the preparation tasks.

We also plan to reproduce part one with high definition, presenting exquisite quality and magnificent pictures.
